Elizabeth Fagin Zaby, a graduate of SMU Dedman School of Law and the owner of the firm, has been in practice for over 30 years. She holds the distinction of being an AV-Preeminent rated attorney as determined by Martindale Hubbell. Since 1981, she has routinely handled premarital and postmarital agreements, complex wills and trusts, special needs trusts, probate matters involving significant property assets, estates holding family owned businesses, and litigation involving removal of executors and trustees. Ms. Zaby also represents clients in family law matters, including divorces, paternity actions, and suits affecting the parent-child relationship.
Consulting with clients interested in forming a new business, Ms. Zaby helps her clients evaluate the type of business entity to be selected, drafts the pertinent documents, and follows up with all business needs of the client such as drafting contracts and reviewing leases. Her litigation practice emphasizes the use of mediation and alternate dispute resolution methods which are designed for the amicable resolution of contested cases without the need for litigation or unwanted publicity; however, she is a zealous advocate for her clients whether in a negotiation context or in court.
